Oral History

We actively encourage people who have interesting memories of their time aboard Cutty Sark to contact the Curator, and take part in our oral history project.  It could be that you are a former cadet who worked on board the ship at Falmouth or at Greenhithe, or you may have witnessed the vessel coming to Greenwich in 1954., or you may even have visited the ship when it first opened to the public in 1957. If you have any special memories you would like to share with us, please get in touch. We have already recorded about 30 interviews, which will be used in the interpretation of the ship and for research purposes.  We would love to hear from you!

If you would like to discuss this or any other aspect of the history of the ship or its collection, please e-mail the office on jessica.beverly@cuttysark.org.uk or telephone 020 8858 2698.
