Corporate Support

The Cutty Sark Trust has worked with several different companies to great mutual benefit.  Cutty Sark is an iconic and high profile ship, much loved by the people of Britain, so working with The Trust can greatly enhance your company’s standing.  Why not give us the opportunity of becoming your company's Charity of the Year?

Payroll giving

Payroll giving is a simple, tax-effective way for employees to give to a charity of their choice. Setting up a scheme is easy, and the costs are minimal. Employees simply authorise their payroll department to deduct their donation from their regular pay packet. Because payroll giving deductions are made before PAYE is calculated, the charity receives the full amount pledged including the money that would otherwise have been paid in tax.  If you pay tax at the basic rate, it will cost you only £7.80 to donate £10 to Cutty Sark.

How do I start payroll giving?

If there is a payroll giving scheme set up at your company it's simple - you choose how much you want to give (you can stop giving anytime you wish), complete our payroll giving form, tell your payroll department and they will do the rest.  If your company does not yet run a payroll giving scheme, you can find out more about it here: www.allaboutgiving.org

In-kind support

The Cutty Sark Conservation Project would also greatly benefit from donations of materials your company is able to offer, to be used in the process of conserving Cutty Sark. To make a donation in-kind, please contact Julia Parker on 020 8858 3445 or email enquiries@cuttysark.org.uk
